Joseph J. Blasy, 68, of Independence, died 11/9/07 at home. Joe was born in
New England, ND to Joseph & Magdalena Blasy. He retired from Hallmark where
he was employed as a computer analyst for 28 years. He is survived by his
wife, Barbara, and children, Sandra & David Rapp and Steven; grandchildren
Michael and David; one brother, Martin and Gloria, 3 sisters, Mary Dinneen
& Dan, Eileen and Julie Ehli & Jake. Preceding him in death were his
parents, 2 sisters, Lorraine and LaVerne, and 2 brothers, Albert and Donald.
He enjoyed serving in his church and often was seen in the area running and
training for marathons. He was a much loved husband, father, grandfather,
brother and friend and will be missed by all. A memorial service will be
held Tues., 7 PM , Nov. 13 at the Lee’s Summit 7th Day Adventist Church,
junction of 50 & 7 Hwy. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to
the church or charity of choice.
