Emma Passman

Emma Amanda Passman, 73, of Independence, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Independence Manor after a long illness. Emma was born on January 11, 1950 in Warrensburg, Missouri to George and Lillian Barnett. She leaves her husband of 42 years, Lewis and a son, Jacob of the home. Emma resided in Independence most of her life. She was a 1969 graduate of Northeast High School. Emma retired from Lee’s Summit Medical Center in 2016, where she worked as a dietary assistant. Emma, Lewis and Jacob attended the East Alton Congregation of the Community of Christ, and for the past three years, the Village Heights Congregation.

She is preceded in death by her parents George and Lillian Barnett; and two brothers Jerry and Sam Barnett.

Emma was a well of unconditional love.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family requests donations be made to Camp Moja, c/o Central Mission, 500 W. Pacific, Independence, Missouri 64050.
