Dean Franklin

Dean Franklin, 78, of Columbia passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2007 in his home. He was born in Walla Walla, WA to Hollis and Naomi Franklin. He was a professor of Emeritus of Physiology and former Director of the Dalton Research Center at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Survivors are his wife, Janet of Columbia; three sons and one daughter, son Dean Franklin, Jr. and wife Deborah and their sons, Christopher and Thomas of St. Louis, son Thomas Franklin of Welches, OR, and son Dr. Christopher Franklin and wife Dr. Maryland Franklin and their son Cooper and daughter Ellie of Lafayette, CO and daughter Vanessa Ann Franklin and her daugher, Abigail Geyer of Columbia. Dean leaves four brothers, Col. Ret. F.L. Franklin and wife Elizabeth of Tucson, AZ, Philip Franklin of Newberg, OR, Robert Franklin and wife Joy of Post Falls, ID, and Brad and wife Bette of Portland, OR. There are many nieces, nephews and their families. A service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
